David is a co-founder of 6lock, and serves as its COO. 

David loves the fast pace of early-stage companies – discovering customer product fit and building the teams necessary to thrive.

David began his career as an engineer and began to focus on the financial markets after earning his MBA. He has been involved in the capital markets for more than two decades. In 2006, he co-founded a hedge fund and served as its COO for close to a decade. The Fund earned greater than an 18% IRR during David’s tenure. This success parlayed into forming a multi-family office which he has managed since 2011. While overseeing all family office activities, he has spent the majority of his time investing in private equity.

David earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin where he concentrated in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He also holds BEs in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.

David started 6lock to ease the anxiety people feel moving large sums of money. As an LP himself, he knew there was a better way to complete capital calls and receive distributions. There is simply too much, “I hope it’s going to work” with today’s money transfer process, given the technology we have at our fingertips today. 6lock will solve all these problems.
